Starting with a solid engineering base (#1 in UW class of ‘87) followed by a few years in factory automation, my focus has remained on product development. From blood gas analyzers to a space shuttle project, my initial career at 3M taught me the discipline of following a well-designed plan.

After launching my own multimedia alarming software company, it was quickly sold, affording me opportunities to explore the business side of inventorship. Serving a decade as a key player in sales, marketing and channel management helped forge my first stint as an independent consultant.

Successful projects for BP, Saris and others led me to the challenge of helping out Lifeline ... which led to an idea ... which in turn led to a startup company with multiple international patents.

After establishing Kiio’s technology portfolio, I turned towards giving back to the community ... creating software for nonprofits.
